A avicul tura brasi lei ra vive
momento privilegiado. Segundo dados
da União Brasileira de Avicultura
(Ubabef), a produção de frango
ultrapassou a marca de 13 milhões
de toneladas nos últimos anos. Os
resultados foram obtidos por meio
de fatores como o aumento de
investimentos em infraestrutura de
produção, qualifcação de profssionais
e otimização de recursos.
EmGoiás, umdos responsáveis pelo
sucesso do segmento é a Cooperativa
dos Produtores Rurais Avicultores de
Itaberaí e Região (Copavir), que há oito
anos investe no crescimento do setor.
Localizada em Itaberaí, a coopera-
tiva conta com 122 cooperados e é es-
pecializada na montagem de camas de
aviário (estrutura para alojamento de
aves) e também na manutenção, lava-
ção, suprimento de peças de reposição
e transporte dos animais. Com quase
uma década no mercado, também co-
mercializa produtos como adubo orgâ-
nico, produtos veterinários e agronômi-
cos e ração para gado, produzindo 70
mil toneladas de fertilizantes por ano.
Na Copavir, os associados ain-
da utilizam práticas ecologicamente
corretas para manejo dos resíduos
gerados pela avicultura, em que a
matéria-prima utilizada nas camas de
aviário é 100% gerada pelos produto-
res locais. Além disso, o fertilizante
por ela produzido apresenta densida-
de de macro e micro nutrientes, que
não agridem o meio ambiente.

Brazilian poultry breeding lives a privileged moment.
According to data from the Brazilian Union of Poultry
Breeding (Ubabef), chicken production has overcome the
mark of 13 million tons in the last few years. The results were
obtained due to factors such as the increase of investments
in production infrastructure, professionals’ qualifcation, and
resources optimization.
In Goiás, one of the responsible parties for the success of
the segment is Cooperativa dos Produtores Rurais Avicultores
de Itaberaí e Region -Copavir Cooperative of Poultry Raisers
Producers of Itaberaí and Region Copavir), which has been
investing on the growth of the sector for eight years.
Located in Itaberaí, the cooperative counts with 122
members, and is specialized on assembling aviary’s beds
(a structure for the accommodation of birds), and also on
the maintenance, washing, supply of reposition pieces, and
animals’ transportation. With almost a decade in the market, it
also trades products such as organic manure, veterinarian and
agronomic products, and cattle’s food, producing 70 thousand
tons of fertilizers per year.
At Copavir, members still use ecologically correct
practices to handle the residues generated by the poultry,
in which the raw material used on the aviary beds is 100%
generated by local producers. Moreover, the fertilizer it
produces presents density of macro and micro nutrients,
which do not harm the environment.
