A logística brasileira para o esco-
amento das safras é um antigo e sério
problema a ser resolvido pelos líderes
políticos e empresariais do País. Diante
deste cenário, produtores rurais de Ere-
chim, no Rio Grande do Sul, sentiram a
necessidade de se unirem para melhorar
as condições de armazenagem e de co-
mercialização de sua produção.
Assim começou a história da Coope-
rativa Tritícola Erechim (Cotrel). Sua mis-
são é receber, transformar e comerciali-
zar produtos agropecuários com base na
matriz do agronegócio, com segurança e
rentabilidade. É importante destacar que,
dentre as principais vantagens de ser um
cooperado da Cotrel, estão o acompanha-
mento técnico, a garantia de comerciali-
zação de sua produção e o suprimento de
insumos e medicamentos.
Com esses diferenciais, a Cotrel
conquistou a confança de mais de 11
mil associados – pequenos produtores
rurais que se mantêm frmes na defesa
do sistema cooperativista, garantindo
emprego, renda e a continuidade do
homem no campo.
Atualmente, a Cotrel atua em 39 mu-
nicípios sulistas e, além da matriz, pos-
sui 19 fliais, trabalhando sempre com o
foco na produção de grãos, leite e seus
insumos. Além disso, a cooperativa inves-
tiu em suas instalações para aumentar o
controle da poluição das águas e do ar.

Strength to win
The Brazilian logistics for the outfow of harvests is an old and serious
problem to be solved by political leaders and entrepreneurs of this
Country. Before such scenario, rural producer of Erechim, in Rio Grande
do Sul, felt the need to get together to improve the stocking conditions,
and commercialization of its production.
That is how the story of Cooperativa Tritícola Erechim -Cotrel
(Erechim Wheat Cooperative – Cotrel) started. Its mission is to receive,
transform, and trade farm and cattle raising products based on the
matrix of agribusiness, with safety and proftability. It is important to
highlight that, among the main advantages of being a Cotrel’s member,
is the technical follow-up, the guarantee of commercialization of its
production, and the supply of raw materials and medications.
With such differentials, Cotrel has conquered the trust of more
than 11 thousand members –small rural producers that are frm on
the defense of the cooperative system, guaranteeing jobs, income, and
continuity to the feld man.
Nowadays, Cotrel works in 39 municipalities of the south, and
besides the head offce, it has 19 branches, always working focused on
grains production, milk and dairy products. Moreover, the cooperative
has invested in its facilities to increase water and air pollution control.
